Beyond LDL: A Whole-Person Approach to Lipid Metabolism and Cardiometabolic Wellness*
Presenter
Lara Zakaria, PharmD, MS, CDN, CNS, IFMCP
Lipid metabolism is a dynamic and multifaceted aspect of cardiometabolic health that intersects with vascular function, inflammatory signaling, oxidative balance, metabolic resilience, and lifestyle. As clinical guidelines continue to evolve, this webinar offers practitioners a timely opportunity to deepen their understanding of lipid physiology and explore the full spectrum of evidence-informed tools available to support patient wellness.*
This session takes a whole-person, integrative lens to lipid health by examining how dietary patterns, fiber intake, fatty acid quality, phytonutrients, and key nutrients influence lipid metabolism and broader cardiometabolic function.* The role of lifestyle-mediated factors in vascular and endothelial health is also explored.
The session further examines botanical and nutraceutical compounds that have been studied for their potential to support healthy lipid metabolism, endothelial function, oxidative stress balance, and healthy inflammatory signaling.* Relevant compounds may include green tea catechins, olive leaf, pomegranate, Boswellia, alliums, guggul resin, red yeast rice, berberine, omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, CoQ10, and related compounds that are all discussed within appropriate clinical context, safety considerations, and scope of practice.*
The goal of this session is to equip clinicians with practical, evidence-informed strategies for supporting cardiometabolic wellness through an integrated approach to diet, lifestyle, nutrients, and botanicals.*
