Chronic Stress
Chronic stress relentlessly unravels our health, ultimately culminating in ongoing health challenges. The pathophysiological impact of chronic stress is complex, pervasive and … reversible. A holistic approach, with an emphasis on botanicals, to preventing and reversing the effects of stress was discussed. Specifically, this discussion included strategies to provide limbic system regulation and reinstate optimal endogenous Circadian rhythmicity.
Botanicals discussed: Scutellaria laterifolia (American skullcap), Piper methysticum (Kava Kava), Passiflora incarnata (Passionflower), Valeriana officinalis (Valerian), Ocimum sanctum (Holy Basil), Schisandra chinensis, Withania somnifera (Ashwagandha), Hypericum perforatum (St. John’s Wort), Matricaria recutita (Chamomille) and Lavendula officinalis (Lavender).
