Maintaining Mental Stability
Maintaining Mental Health can be a balancing act. Forty-six percent of Americans will experience a specific mental challenge at some point in their life. These can range from an occasional ‘blue feeling’ to serious imbalances that can disrupt many aspects of a healthy life. External factors can vary, such as circumstances related to lifestyle, income, physical health, personal relationships, disruptive weather patterns, and more. There are steps an individual can take to help navigate these sometimes rocky roads. Specific foods, exercise, and relaxation techniques may be useful, along with botanicals traditionally used to support mental health. These include: St. John’s Wort, Passionflower, Schisandra, Skullcap, Chamomile, Holy Basil, and Hemp.*
